Bonjour, I’m Clémence!
Specializing in destination weddings in Provence and the South of France, I capture your celebration with a refined, poetic, and editorial eye.
Whether you are planning an intimate wedding in a stone Mas in the Luberon or a grand celebration in a historic estate in the Alpilles, my mission is to document the raw emotion and timeless beauty of your day. My approach
as a wedding photographer

Elevated aesthetics, documentary feel
I capture your day as it truly happens: spontaneous laughter, meaningful glances, and the atmosphere your guests will remember.
Alongside the candid moments, I offer gentle direction for portraits: natural, flattering, and never over-posed.
Comfort first
If you’re not used to being photographed, you’re not alone. I’ll guide you with simple prompts, help you find the best light, and keep everything calm and enjoyable.
In Provence, I’m inspired by golden-hour light, textured stone, lavender-and-olive landscapes, and long summer evenings, perfect for relaxed portraits and outdoor celebrations.

Getting ready
I often start with photographing your accessories: your dress, stationery, jewellery, and then the atmosphere with your closest friends and family when you are getting dressed. It’s a gentle way to ease into the day and capture the anticipation.
Ceremony
Whether you’re having a civil ceremony, a church wedding or an outdoor ceremony at a château, I focus on the key moments: your entrance, vows, reactions, and all the little gestures between you and your guests.
Cocktail hour
During the cocktail hour, I alternate between candid moments with your guests and a few family and couple portraits, often in the gardens or vineyards depending on your venue.
Evening
I stay for the dinner, speeches, first dance and the beginning of the party, so you can remember not only how everything looked, but how it felt.
Why Provence is a Photographer’s Dream
Provence possesses a unique visual signature that I deeply cherish as a photographer. It is a region defined by its incredible textures—from the warmth of the sun-drenched stone Mas to the soft, silver-green hues of the ancient olive groves that add a painterly depth to your images.
My experience in the South of France helps me navigate the legendary Provencal light, which can be as delicate as a veil at dawn or vibrantly golden at sunset. Whether we are shooting in the romantic intimacy of a Luberon vineyard or against the grand backdrop of a historic Bastide in the Alpilles, I know how to use these natural elements to frame your story with a refined sense of elegance and authenticity.

Getting married in Provence
Some venues ideas
Provence is full of character: stone estates, vineyards, olive trees, and gardens made for long outdoor evenings.
Here are a few beautiful venues:
Often described as the jewel of Provence, Château de Tourreau is a photographer’s dream for its perfect architectural symmetry and its grand, aristocratic presence. I particularly love the way the morning light hits the vibrant green shutters against the warm stone facade. The formal French gardens and the majestic pool area offer a variety of sophisticated backdrops, ideal for high-end editorial portraits that feel both regal and timeless.
Nestled in the heart of the Vaucluse, Château Martinay offers a more secluded and refined atmosphere. What stands out to me as a photographer is the stunning driveway lined with ancient cypress trees, a classic Provencal signature. The lush, park-like surroundings provide a soft, filtered light that is incredibly flattering for candid moments. It’s the perfect venue for couples seeking a blend of historic charm and quiet, lush greenery for their celebration.
Located just outside Aix-en-Provence, Château de la Gaude is where traditional Provencal soul meets contemporary art. This venue is unique for its world-class sculptures and meticulously designed gardens that contrast beautifully with the classic Bastide architecture. From a photography perspective, the surrounding vineyards offer a breathtaking ‘wine country’ vibe, especially during the golden hour when the vines and the yellow ochre walls of the chateau glow with an incomparable warmth.

Eloise & James
Wedding in the south of France
“From the first moment we laid eyes on Clemence’s stunning portfolio, we knew she was the perfect photographer to capture our special day. Her ability to transform ordinary moments into something truly magical through her photography is nothing short of extraordinary. The soft pastel hues she uses, combined with her meticulous attention to detail, created a visual narrative that we will cherish forever.
Clemence’s organisation and foresight leading up to our wedding were invaluable. Her keen eye for design and beauty ensured that every shot was not just a photograph, but a work of art. We are immensely grateful that she was there to document such an important day for us.
Beyond her remarkable talent, it is Clemence’s kindness that truly touched our hearts. Her patience and genuine interest in getting to know us made the entire experience feel personal and special.”

France destination wedding
“Clemence was absolutely amazing! I would recommend her to anyone. She took time to understand what we wanted and executed it beautifully.
She is kind, gracious and very passionate about her work. Not to mention that the photos turned out perfect. We are very appreciative of her capturing such a special day so wonderfully.”

Olivia & Joe
Romantic Celebration in the South
“Wow, what can I say about Clémence’s talent? My husband and I recently had the wedding of our dreams in France, where we were so luckily accompanied by Clémence, who captured our day perfectly. From the moment we met, she made everyone feel comfortable with her warm and welcoming smile, and calm approach.
We put all of our trust into Clémence and it certainly paid off because our photos (which we received after only 2 weeks!) helped us relive our perfect day from start to finish. The photos were well organised, from the ‘getting ready’ process, to the ceremony and party. The files were easily accessible which made it straightforward for us to send to our guests, whom were all in tears again!
We can only recommend everyone to use Clémence for their big day, you won’t regret it!”

FAQS
Provence weddings
Do you photograph multi-day celebrations like welcome dinners or brunches?
Absolutely! Provence weddings are often a weekend-long experience. Capturing a welcome dinner in a vineyard or a relaxed poolside brunch is a wonderful way to document the full atmosphere of your celebration. It allows me to capture the candid, joyful moments with your guests in a more informal setting, creating a complete and cohesive story of your Provencal getaway.
How many hours of coverage do you offer?
Most collections start with around 8 hours of coverage and can go up to 12 hours or more for full-day celebrations. We’ll decide together what suits your plans best.
What is the best way to travel to our wedding in Provence?
Most international guests fly into Marseille Provence Airport (MRS) or Nice Côte d’Azur (NCE), depending on your venue’s location. The Avignon TGV station is also a very convenient option for those coming from Paris. Whether your wedding is in the heart of the Luberon or the Alpilles, I can advise you on travel times to ensure our photo schedule remains relaxed and seamless.
How do you handle the strong Provencal sun and summer heat?
The light in Provence is legendary but can be very intense during mid-day. To ensure the most flattering results, I always recommend scheduling your portraits and ceremony during the ‘Golden Hour’—late in the afternoon when the sun is lower and the light becomes soft and warm. If we must shoot earlier, I know how to find the perfect shade under centuries-old olive trees or within the cool stone walls of a Bastide, ensuring you stay comfortable while capturing luminous, elegant images.
What if the Mistral wind starts blowing on our wedding day?
The Mistral is part of Provence’s soul! While it can be surprising, it often results in the clearest blue skies and incredible visibility. From a photography standpoint, it adds a beautiful, editorial movement to veils and dresses. I am experienced in finding sheltered spots within the courtyards of traditional Mas to ensure we get stunning portraits regardless of the wind.
How do we book from abroad?
We can plan everything by email and video calls. Your date is secured with a contract and retainer.
