Soft and poetic bridal inspiration
in french nature
This soft and poetic bridal shoot was inspired by the wild landscapes of small mountains of an area of France, called « Monédières ». These mountains remind me of Scotland as they are covered with heath and ferns. They are known for their sheep and their wild blueberries. I fell in love with these beautiful views and endless nature as far as you can see.
I wanted a peaceful and ethereal look for this bride walking barefoot in the nature, with only the wind leading her steps. The wild and romantic bouquet made by Le Coeur Sauvage reminds the season (fall) as well as the landscape colors.
The jewels by So Helo made with freshwater pearls add a touch of elegance to the bride, combined with the soft makeup and elegant bun made by Affinités Beauté.
The cake is made of different sorts of French cheese, decorated with seasonal fruits.
The small table was quite a challenge to create because it was on the top of the mountain which is very windy!
Finally, the beautiful sheep is a local breed owned by La Ferme de la Monédière and they were very kind although a little worried to be photographed.
The poem on the stationery by the french poet Arthur Rimbaud can summarize the whole feeling of this shooting, here is a translation:
» Through blue summer nights I will pass along paths,
Pricked by wheat, trampling short grass:
Dreaming, I will feel coolness underfoot,
I’ll let the wind bathe my bare head
Not a word, not a thought:
Boundless love will surge through my soul,
And I will wander far, very far, like a gipsy,
In the Nature, – as happily as with a woman. »
