My approach
as a wedding photographer

Clémence Aresu portrait

Natural moments, elevated portraits

I focus on real emotion and the atmosphere of your day: the in-between moments, the energy of your guests, the details you chose with intention.
For portraits, I use gentle direction and simple prompts so you look and feel like yourselves: relaxed, connected, and confident.

A smooth experience for destination couples
Planning from abroad can feel overwhelming. I keep the process simple: clear communication, timeline guidance, and a calm presence on the day. If your wedding spans multiple locations or days, I’ll help you think through what matters most visually.

How I photograph
your wedding day in Italy

Getting ready

I often start with photographing your accessories: your dress, stationery, jewellery, and then the atmosphere with your closest friends and family when you are getting dressed. It’s a gentle way to ease into the day and capture the anticipation.

Cérémony

Whether you’re having a civil ceremony, a church wedding or an outdoor ceremony at a château, I focus on the key moments: your entrance, vows, reactions, and all the little gestures between you and your guests.

Cocktail hour

During the cocktail hour, I alternate between candid moments with your guests and a few family and couple portraits, often in the gardens or vineyards depending on your venue.

Evening

I stay for the dinner, speeches, first dance and the beginning of the party, so you can remember not only how everything looked, but how it felt.

Getting married in Italy
Some areas I love

Italy offers a huge variety of atmospheres and each calls for a different rhythm and light.

A few places that photograph beautifully:

Florence and Tuscany

Tuscany is an area in Italy known for its incredible landscapes: stunning light, rolling hills, vineyards and olive groves. It’s a perfect place for an intimate, natural and traditional wedding. You can find charming venues like Borgo San Pietro, Castiglion del Bosco, Villa Montanare or Villa Cetinale.

Lake Como

Lake Como is a magical place in Italy where you can find peaceful and elegant lakeside venues. Most of them are refined Villas with beautiful enchanting gardens, like Villa Balbiano, Villa Sola Cabiati, Villa del Balbianello and Villa d’Este.

Almafi Coast

The Almafi coast is a relaxed, sunny and colorful place near the Mediterranean Sea. It’s also known for its lemons, their yellow color reflects joy and fun! The most famous venues in this area are for example the Belmond Hôtel Caruso and Villa Cimbrone.

Kind words

“Clémence’s ability to transform ordinary moments into something truly magical through her photography is nothing short of extraordinary”
